Haier 40" HD TV - Worst Warranty Service Ever
Bought TV at HH Gregg. After 6 months while still in warranty a pixel burnt out.
Haier sent a technician to the house to look at the TV. Technician said it was cheaper to replace than repair. Contacted Haier Warranty Service and they refused to honor the warranty. Made ridiculous demands on me like to take pictures of the burnt out pixel even after the tech guy they previously sent had already taken the same pictures they were requesting I take.
Warranty rep at Haier said 1 burnt out pixel was within their standards. I told him it was not within my standards and I expect all pixels to work within the warranty period. Finally got fed up with dealing directly w/ Haier and went back to HH Gregg. Turned it on, showed them the burnt pixel and they took it back without a question.
I upgraded to competitor for a few $ more. DONT BUY A PRODUCT FROM HAIER IF YOU EXPECT WARRANTY SERVICE."
